My name is Jerrell Brown and here's my story...
On the afternoon of September 8th, 2008 I was arrested and detained for probable cause murder. At this time I was not a felon. At this time my record only consisted of a recent gross misdemeanor and traffic violations. On September 10th, 2008 while detained I was charged by complaint on aiding and abetting 2nd degree murder charges. This charging complaint does not allege that I committed any murder or crime. The Hennepin County prosecution was able to bring these charges based on the false and fabricated use of forensic evidence.
I was convicted based on Minnesota using this false forensic evidence along with paid jailhouse informant testimony. I'm approaching 17 years of my life being wrongfully stolen from me. I was sentenced to life without parole for aiding and abetting first degree murder for the benefit of a gang.
I was 21 years of age with no gang record, no gang activity, no gang convictions, and no felony convictions at the time of my arrest on September 8th, 2008.
